VHS Senior, Hugh Davis awarded Vashon Island Chorale Scholarship
The Chorale's Vice President, Kathleen Rindge, presented our annual scholarship to an impressive VHS graduate, Hugh Davis. The son of island cellists, Rowena Hammill and Doug Davis, Hugh has proven himself to be a talented singer and actor having sung roles with Vashon Opera and Vashon High School. In addition, Hugh won second place in July at the National Association of Teachers of Singing Student Auditions. Hugh won his divisions in the Chapter level, then in the Regional level via video, and went on to compete at the national level in Boulder, Colorado. Hugh is currently studying voice at San Francisco Music Conservatory.

We wish the best to Hugh as he begins his next chapter!
